8-week squat-bench-deadlift peak
Advanced · 25–39 · Multi-week plan
An 8-week peaking block that tapers volume and sharpens to a meet-day PR. Below is a research-backed prompt for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — copy it, paste the reply into sweatcue, and run the whole strength workout hands-free.
Session at a glance
This is how sweatcue structures the session once you paste it in — timed blocks with auto-starting rest and spoken cues. Figures are read from the prompt itself.

Why it's built this way
Peaking works by gradually shifting from higher-volume, moderate-load work toward lower-volume, higher-intensity practice of the competition lifts, then tapering fatigue so fitness is expressed on test day. Heavier loads (around and above 85% 1RM) are most specific to a 1RM, and a reduced-volume taper before testing lets accumulated fatigue dissipate while strength is retained. The main lifts should be practiced specifically; keeping accessories shy of failure controls fatigue during the peak.

Run it hands-free in sweatcue
sweatcue is an AI workout dashboard: paste the AI's reply and it runs the whole session on screen and out loud — auto timers, spoken cues for every set, rest and rep, and your live numbers. The AI writes it; sweatcue runs it.
